Kacey Kerlick
Kasey Kerlick is a Communication major at Stephen F. Austin State University. She excitedly chose SFA as her new home to create new memories. She is very spirited about SFA and all that it represents. She is a tour guide showing students how great and beautiful SFA is. Kasey is a senior graduating in the spring. Before her thrilling departure from SFA she is participating in a social media internship this fall in the SFA Liberal Arts Department. She believes this internship will help her take a few more steps closer to her dream job as working PR at the Houston Zoo.
This is not Kasey’s first time to Europe. The past two summers her family has been to Italy, Amsterdam and Prague. She is excited to travel with SFA to make new memories in London and Paris this summer. She is looking forward to getting lost and experiencing new things. Abby is from Nacogdoches, Texas where her father works at Stephen F Austin University. Although her father works for SFASU she decided to branch out and go to A&M university for her undergraduate degree in agriculture communications and journalism. She plans to graduate in spring 2018, a year earlier than her peers.
Abby chose the “Meet the Media in London and Paris” study abroad class because it will provide her with many opportunities to try new things, both professionally and personally. She doesn’t know much about either city but she is looking forward to being surprised by each city and learning as much as she can. Abby is most excited to not only do all the basic tourist attractions, but also getting lost in the cities and seeing how the locals live.

Brittany Dorbin
Brittany is a senior at SFASU majoring in Radio/ TV. Born in Louisiana and raised in Dallas, Brittany spends her free time with her 6-year-old daughter and is very involved with the PTA at her daughter’s school. She enjoys shopping, traveling, and playing golf as well. Brittany is most excited to see Paris Vogue, Notre Dame, and other sight-seeing in Paris, she has even been practicing her French with her daughter in the weeks leading up to the trip. She is also anxious to see CNN in London.
Brittany dreams to one day work as a political anchor for CNN. After seeing injustice in her community she felt the need to make a difference. Brittany believes that through the media she will be given the voice to reach the masses and through her time in the spotlight as a CNN political anchor she will be given the chance to make that change. --By Emma Gregerson
Amanda Barker
Amanda Barker, 19, is a junior studying Radio/TV, and she hopes to be an editor and a producer after graduation. She enjoys watching Supernatural and hiking. She plays the clarinet, and used to be a member of the Lumberjack Marching band. She loves traveling. This will be the first time she's gone overseas, but she's gone on cruises to Mexico and the Caribbean.
When Amanda gets to London, she’s most excited about visiting the site of the Harry Potter filming. In Paris, she’s most excited about trying the food- especially macaroons. --By Lyndsey Dickerson
Emma Gregerson
Emma Gregerson is a senior at Stephen F. Austin State University. She was born and raised in Austin Texas with her twin brother Miles. Emma is studying Public Relation with a minor in social media. In high school Emma received her cosmetology license. Her ultimate goal is to land a job with a major cosmetic company.
During the meet the media trip Emma is very excited to visit the Madame Tussauds' wax museum in London. She has also taken on the task to set up a tour of Vogue Magazine in Paris. Emma will dazzle the magazine editors while speaking to them in French. --By Brittany Dorbin
Matt Ess

Matt Ess has found a passion for learning- whether about building computers, reading or anything music related. His time of learning at SFA will come to end spring 2017 when he graduates with a Radio/TV major.
In order to start the 2016 school year, Ess has decided to take his learning adventure across the Atlantic Ocean to complete a study abroad program in London and Paris. He can’t wait for London to visit Buckingham Palace and Liverpool due to a Beatles obsession. While in France, he plans to see the Eiffel Tower and The Louvre.
Overall he hopes to gain a better sense of culture and find adventure on this trip. --By Evie Sweeten

Evie also enjoys cooking, eating, reading and taking online classes for fun. She’s from the Houston area.Evie wants to do all sorts of different things in London, such as the Big Ben and Natural History museum. In Paris, Evie wants to see the Louvre, Eiffel Tower, and the Notre Dame de Paris.

Lyndsey Dickerson

Lyndsey Dickerson is a senior at SFA studying photojournalism and social media. She plans on graduating in December 2016. Her hobbies include taking pictures of whatever she can and going to concerts of all different kinds of rock bands. At these concerts she not only enjoys the music but she also uses her photography skills to get the best pictures of the concert as she can. Her main passions are music and photography. She plays the piano and is currently learning how to play guitar.
This London and Paris trip will include many new things for Lyndsey. She has never been on a plane, traveled outside of the country, nor has she traveled on a train before. In London she is most excited about The Making of Harry Potter and she hopes she can find a local band concert to go to on her free days. The food in Paris is another thing she is looking forward to.
