This station has helped groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous, metropolitan police, and Domestic Violence Units. Nusound has served over 17 different radio groups across the country with advisory services. These services have helped develop the group further and such services have helped these groups understand more about the broadcasting and radio industry. “NuSound has strengthened its links with the diverse communities across London and beyond, formed strong relations with the business community, as well as improving operational strategies in marketing, finance, audience research and the overall running of a radio station.” (https://www.facebook.com/NusoundRadio/info/?entry_point=page_nav_about_item&tab=page_info)

Our second visit on June 24th was to Nusound radio where we met with Taari Sian. Nusound is similar, Sian says, to the united nations of radio because his station broadcasts daily to 9 different communities in the London area is over 9 different languages. Sian explains that all of the employees of the station come from an investment banking background which helps them see the industry from another prospective and keeps their brand on track and away from the financial troubles that end many other stations in the surrounding area. The station itself was located at the highest point in eastern London so that the station can broadcast to a larger area for less money. Sian says that the key to a successful brand is by avoiding politics and religion and focusing more on education and entertainment. Sian and the Nusound team focus heavily on nonprofit organization with over 120 organizations running through the station. Nusound is a nonprofit radio that runs off of donations and organizing events while all their profits go towards charity. Sian explains that this way of operating makes complete sense because, “money doesn't last forever, but helping others is something you can do until you drop.” Sian and his team gave our group  very good look into what a selfless man in the mass media industry looks like and I only wish that this visit could've resinated more with members of our group because I truly believe that whether he discussed with us what happens inside the recording booth or out of it that he has some life lessons that can help each and every one of us inch closer towards being decent human beings. Sian concluded our visit by saying that anything in this industry is achievable as long as you view nothing as a challenge and everything as something conquerable.
